During my time at Ford, I was a part of the CIED (Customer Interaction Experience Design) team, doing either research or interaction design. While my visual work at Ford is under NDA, below are brief summaries of the projects I worked on.
Project 1 Summary:
Created high-fidelity wireframes for several in-vehicle camera experiences on the center stack display using the Android native software. Was responsible for mapping out the user flow of the experiences, as well as facilitating an in-person clinic for prototype testing.
Our team was the recipient of the 2020 Ford Innovation Award
Project 2 Summary:
In 2021 Ford announced a six-year-long partnership with Google, switching their entire operating system from Ford's native SYNC to Android. The interaction design team was to kick off this massive change by updating the design libraries within the Android guidelines.
Project 3 Summary:
The Ford Assistant was a concept the experience design team helped develop, the premise being a virtual assistant with the knowledge of all things in-vehicle related. Facebook Messenger plays a big part in how Ford Assistant is accessed and used, therefore CUI design was needed when creating the experience.
Project 4 Summary:
An in-vehicle experience for working on the go was researched and created by the experience design team. The concept revolved around a modern-day workflow for users who frequently work in their vehicles. To support this experience, high-fidelity wireframes were developed, resulting in a clickable prototype of the entire experience.
